Session Details

After booking your session we will go over all the details. I can recommend locations or we can scout out something new that fits your style.

When should I book?: Maternity sessions are best when booked early so we can plan ahead, dress can be ordered if need be and location can be booked if it is private. Session typically takes place 32-36 weeks pregnant so I highly recommend booking early in your second trimester.
Can we include husband or kids?: Yes I always suggest grabbing some family photos since this is documenting an exciting time for everyone.
Should I get professional hair and makeup done?: This isn't a must for your images to be amazing, but I do recommend it so that you won't be stressed and can be relaxed come time for your session. Pamper yourself you deserve it!!
What if its bad weather the day of our session?: Lets face it this is Texas and weather is unpredictable. We could always reschedule or move the session in studio. I offer milk bath for maternity as well. We will make that decision together so we can all be prepared.
What time of day is best?: Depending on what season we are in I always like to shoot either an hr before sun sets or if you prefer early morning than we start at sunrises! This gives me the best light to create stunning images. I avoid mid day at all cost, this is the brightest time of day and cause harsh lighting and shadows. If you can not do sunset or sunrise I highly recommend we do in studio so we have control over lighting.
